Minimalist Fall Wedding Décor and Design

At VenturaWedding.com we can appreciate the minimalist mindset when it comes to wedding décor, and weddings in general. A minimalist is very thoughtful and focused in her selection of design elements. The result is a very clean, “simplified”, and unified look. For examples check out some of our inspiration picks for Fall wedding décor below.
Felt Acorn Name Cards on etsy

Table Settings
We found these sweet felt acorns on etsy to use for our place card inspiration. Find a font you like and print out your guest’s names on plain white paper. Glue an actual acorn—it can be spray-painted or dipped in glitter, whatever and glue it the name card. Easy Peasy! And pretty too! Set your name card on plain white plates with a solid color napkin or simply choose a bold colored plate for your place settings.

Incorporate twigs into your table décor with a table runner for rectangular tables or these simple candle and twig vases for centerpieces on round tables. Also simple, pretty, and affordable.

Wedding Invitations & Stationary
We couldn’t find a great image for our simple wedding invite vision so here’s the general idea: chose a cool font that is also easy to read and print out your invitation on a single, one-sided sheet of cardstock using ¼ or ½ of a regular sized sheet of cardstock paper. Leave room for a leaf design you will create with a leaf puncher (like a three-hole punch but in a leaf shape). One leaf is all it takes, though you can do more if you like. Its as easy as print, punch, seal! Sweet! Just change the message to Thank You and you’ve got every base covered.

Ceremony Décor
Line the aisle with pillar candles or a pairing of pillar candles of various heights at each row of chairs or every step as in the picture (above). Add some LED twig lights to any wedding arch or even use them as swag between the rows of seats lining the aisle. Simply beautiful, especially on a fall evening!
Snag these online at save-on-crafts.com! 6 feet for only $22!

Some of the benefits of our minimalist selections are they can become great DIY projects that wont take a ton of your time, they can be less expensive because they are more simple and easier to make, and finally the focus remains on you and your love rather than on overly ornate centerpieces or intricate designs. How and When to Announce Your Engagement

Now that he’s planned all the romantic details of how to propose and has successfully swept you off your feet, your fiancé can breathe a sigh of relief. . . or can he???!? If your parents have never met your future spouse, this can be an extreme source of anxiety. As parents, siblings, and close family are usually the first to hear the news of your engagement, it would be helpful to introduce him into conversations, prompting questions and opportunities to share more about him before bringing him over for a visit. Once you are all familiar, then you can feel reassured of you happy news being received more warmly, instead of it being a complete shock. For brides who have been married before and who have children it is important that your children and ex are informed first. After sharing the news with your parents and immediate family, most etiquette sources suggest calling relatives and close friends who live further away next. They also suggest calling anyone who
