Wedding Inspiration: Summer 2015

Still enjoying this beautiful spring season but looking ahead to a fabulous and fun summer 2015. At VW, our inspiration journey often begins with selecting a color palette to reflect the season, trends and our style. Here’s a great site for wedding color inspiration: www.theperfectpalette.com. This year our favorites are: mint (in any and all shades), aqua, and raspberry sorbet (so bold!). Why these colors you ask? Mint and aqua are refreshing colors and remind us of the summer season where being outdoors at the beach or on picnics and poolside BBQ’s is a blast. Summer is a season where relaxation and casual feeling take the reins and give us freedom to be bold (our daring raspberry selection) or license to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.

Summer 2015 Color Palette Inspiration: Mint, Aqua, and Raspberry Sorbet

After selecting our color palette we have fun Googling images of our colors to find inspiring wedding dĂ©cor, cakes, dresses, shoes, accessories and all that fun stuff. That’s the secret to our inspiration process! The rest is Pinterest bliss and online shopping, some fun diy projects and BOOM! You’ve got the foundation for a stylish and oh-so-you wedding!

Here’s our summer 2015 inspiration pics and where we found them if you’re interested:

How and When to Announce Your Engagement

Now that he’s planned all the romantic details of how to propose and has successfully swept you off your feet, your fiancĂ© can breathe a sigh of relief. . . or can he???!? If your parents have never met your future spouse, this can be an extreme source of anxiety. As parents, siblings, and close family are usually the first to hear the news of your engagement, it would be helpful to introduce him into conversations, prompting questions and opportunities to share more about him before bringing him over for a visit.
