We found this image here: http://www.utterlyengaged.com/category/issues/issue-006/page/43/

When planning a bachelorette party it is important to think about what the bride-to-be would consider a good time. If the conventional bar hopping and strippers aren’t her cup of tea, then this kind of party might not be enjoyable for her. Break the mold and try something different and unexpected. If you are looking for unconventional bachelorette party ideas then you’ve come to the right place.

1) Food & Friends Fiesta
Sign up for a local cooking class or food tasting tour. Fun shops like Spicetopia (http://www.spice-topia.com) on Main Street in downtown Ventura feature local goodies but also offer onsite cooking classes, so fun! If she’s not that into cooking but would rather be on the tasting end, it might be fun to go on a food tasting tour to taste and discover the best places and dishes to order at favorite and new restaurants (try http://www.venturafoodtours.com ) Hiring a personal chef for a dinner party is also an option. The will help you select a menu, buy the ingredients, and prepare a meal for you in you own home. You can easily locate a chef online or find a local catering company who offers similar services such as http://www.seasonscateringca.com/cooking.php which serves Santa Barbara, Ventura, and LA areas.

2) Spa Day Splendor
If pampering and relaxation are her style, try a weekend stay at a local resort or hotel that offers spa services. On a higher budget try the gorgeous Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara: http://www.bacararesort.com/santa-barbara-spa-resort/day-packages/. Or stay at the famous Lavendar Inn in Ojai. In addition to feeling a peaceful retreat, their spa services are more affordable (massage therapy $100-120 per hour). They also offer skincare treatments, in-room foot massage (60 minutes for $70),  and even yoga sessions onsite!

3) Glamping Gals
If your friend is on the more adventurous side you could try renting a cabin, airstream trailer, or even glamping. A retreat into nature (or glamping in the city) can be a lot of fun especially with your gal pals by your side. Search online for a place to stay in an area you think she would like. We found this site which gives suggestions for glamping locations all along the California coast: https://glampinghub.com/unitedstatesofamerica/pacificwest/california/

4) Tickle her Funny Bone
Who doesn’t like to laugh? Have a few cocktails and the jokes are even funnier. We found some local suggestions for area comedy clubs here: http://www.conejovalleyguide.com/welcome/laugh-it-up-live-comedy-in-and-around-ventura-county.html
5) Make her dreams come true!
Try planning a party day or weekend involving something she’s always talked about doing. Here are some ideas you might like:
Horseback riding at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills. 1 hour rides are $50 per person(check out their other ride options): http://www.maliburiders.com
Yoga on the beach! Sounds so cool and relaxing . . . try donation based all levels at the beach yoga session near Oxnard Shores: http://www.meetup.com/YOGA-by-the-SEA/
