Spring Wedding Inspiration

Spring flowers in monochrome are our inspiration this season! Purple hues are soft, feminine, and flattering against all skin tones. And while limiting the color palette is a bit unexpected for the spring when sooo many flowers are in bloom, it adds a touch of sophistication or even a sweet simple minimalism for a refreshing spring style. Take a look at our selections and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Our Inspiration! From Left to Right: Colewort, Freesias, Pincushion Flower

Flowers
The following florals are the jumping off point for our inspiration. A simple wispy bouquet can be made combining some or all of these fantastic florals. The Pincushion flower is our favorite, and in our humble opinion can stand on it’s own in a simple-ly beautiful bouquet. Soft and lacy petals top off long sturdy stems making them hardy cut flowers that are hard to resist. If you long for a fuller bouquet, fill in space with the mini-white Colewort flower, or to add a supremely pleasant fragrance and a trailing element use a purple or lilac shade of freesias. So lovely!

Finery
Flowers have stolen our heart this season and can be great embellishments on your dress and in your décor. We love, love, love these lavendar-hued gowns! The added sparkle is so elegant and eye-catching and carries through our delicate floral theme. If wedding white is still a must in your mind, we think this flowing gown with lace and flower embellishment at the waist is perfect for a spring wedding. Add a floral crown made of real or sculpted flowers to match the color of your dress (white or purple hue). And select a similar floral headpiece for your bridesmaids and flower girl too.

Friends & Flower Girls

Our top selection for bridesmaid dresses is this short sleeve floral lace knee-length dress. So sweet and springtime, this dress could even be worn at future parties, a plus for all your friends! When it comes to flower girls, we love this elegant girly number: a perfect blend of our sparkly purple bridal gown and the lacy flowers of your bouquet and bridesmaid dress. So many interesting layers and textures while still preserving a sophisticated monochrome palette!
