Project 1
Vintage furniture can add a touch of classic beauty to your wedding. For example, turn an old writing desk into a fancy guest sign-in table just by sanding down the old finish and adding a new coat of paint. Match the color to your chosen wedding palette or your personality. Or just leave it the way it is, timeless and well-loved. Symbolic! Add a display of your favorite photos with your beloved, a cute journal for your guests to record their messages, a classic style stand-up pen with ink base and poof, you’ve got a beautiful conversation piece greeting your guests at the reception.

Project 2
I recently attended the wedding of two globe-trotting love birds and fell in love with their vintage style! One of my favorite pieces of their wedding décor was an old suitcase with the lid left open on the gift table to hold wedding cards from their guests. A lot of old suitcases have fun patterned fabric on the inside, and if not, simply cut out a funky wallpaper sample to cover the inside of your thrift store find. Taking the wishes from your friends and family where ever you venture in your new life together, how lovely!

Project 3
So simple, so cheap, but oh so sweet! Collect various size glass jars from the thrift store, wash em up and they instantly become candy bar accessories or vases for your tables. Add a custom touch with printed labels commemorating the date and your names or initials and affix them to each jar with clear tape. Find some eclectic spoons for candy scoops and dress up the table with goody bags for the candy, napkins, and a nice tablecloth. For added flare, weave some small twinkle lights around your display. Fun and done!

We’d love to hear your stories of thrift store finds transformed into fabulous wedding favors, please share your ideas in the comments section.
